Today we continued working on our federalism projects. You will have one more class period tomorrow to work and we will begin presentations on Friday.

WATCH THE DEBATE!!!! 6:00 on NBC (and lots of other channels). You can also live stream it on YouTube, Twitter, or Facebook. The debate will be available 1 hour after on https://www.c-span.org/. The assignment for class can be found here.
Tomorrow we will debrief the debate and begin working on federalism projects. Homework:
TGIF! Today we discussed fiscal federalism and the system of grants/mandates between the federal government and the states. On Monday we will begin a short project on a federalism policy and look more into the court cases/funding/and regulations associated with federal law.

Today we began discussing federalism and just how important it is to our government. Like I said in class, I think this is arguably the most important chapter we will cover this year, so make sure you are staying on top of it!

Ch. 1-2 test tomorrow! Make sure you understand the general structure of the Constitution as well as the major provisions that addressed the power of the federal gov't and the states.
If you still have questions about the FRQ process from today, don't hesitate to reach out. We finished up our study of the Constitution today by looking at how it has been able to last through the years. On Monday we will practice writing FRQ's and play a short review game. Today we went over the hunt through the Constitution and discussed the main arguments of Federalists and Anti-Federalists. Tomorrow we will look at the key principles of the Constitution and the process for amending the it.

Today we looked at the origins of our republic and began our "hunt" through the Constitution. Make sure you know the 3 areas of disagreement among our founding fathers and the weaknesses of the Articles of Confederation.
