Check out the SCOTUS simulation page in the "Resources" tab for more info. Attorneys especially may want to use the break to familiarize themselves with their case.

Today in class we discussed the Supreme Court and how cases reach SCOTUS. Tomorrow we will continue to look at the decision to grant or deny certiorari. Make sure you are keeping up with Ch. 15 if you have not been reading. We will also begin prep for our simulation by choosing role preferences tomorrow.

Lots of stuff for this post today! Homework:
***Your final task for the weekend: Each class period needs to choose which cases they would like to hear for our SCOTUS Simulation. Below I have linked to the Oyez website so you can read the facts of the cases, and attached the PPT slide from class. Once you have chosen the two you are most interested in, please vote on the GoogleForm for your class period.
GOOGLE FORMS: Lots to get through since we lost two days to the snow! We will finish up the federal courts by next week. We will plan to have your Ch. 15 test on THURSDAY 2/16. Your KBAT's will also be due that day :). Remember to stay engaged with the news right now, especially the ruling on State of Washington v. Trump.
Homework:
