My name is Jacqueline Belur and I am very excited to be starting my sixth year as part of the social studies team at Issaquah High School.
I began teaching after completing my Masters in Teaching degree from Seattle University and my undergraduate degree in political science & history from the University of Washington. I have been interested in history, global affairs, law, and politics from a young age, and I hope to bring my passion for these subjects to all my students. As a graduate of Issaquah High School myself (GO EAGLES!), I understand the importance of an education that challenges students and prepares them to be responsible and reflective citizens. When I am not at Issaquah, I can be found hiking, playing soccer, traveling to new places, golfing, and visiting museums.
I am thrilled to get to know the bright, enthusiastic learners in my classroom. I believe all students have unique talents and abilities that will aid in their success and that all students are valuable members of a classroom community. It is my goal to not only help my students reach and work to their fullest potential, but to also enjoy the process.
I have included my contact information, as well as a "Contact Me" tab on this page. Please always feel free to call or email with questions, comments, or concerns. I look forward to year full of new knowledge and lots of FUN!
